Administration

The City’s Administration Department manages the day-to-day operations that keep the city running efficiently.  The department also oversees the City’s general policies and procedures and conducts elections.  

The City’s finances are also part of the Administration Department.  Administration staff are responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and utility billing.  The department prepares and monitors the City’s annual budget, cash management, investments, and works with our financial partners to prepare the city’s long-range financial plan.  The Administration Department works with City Council and departments to make reliable management decisions to achieve the departments goals and objectives while maintaining the integrity of the City’s long-range financial goals. The Administrative Department is also responsible for the fiscal management, processing and maintenance of all accounting transactions for the City. These responsibilities include financial policies and procedures, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, utility billing, budgeting, auditing, investment management, long-range financial planning and fixed asset management. The department is also responsible for information systems, insurance and many personnel functions.

The City Administrator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations at the direction of the City Council, preparing the City's annual and capital budgets, economic development, zoning, and housing developments.

The Deputy Clerk - Treasurer is responsible for accounts payable and payroll. The Billing Clerk is responsible for accounts receivable and utility billing.
