Compost
The City Compost Site Closed May 31 2023
The City's Public Compost Site closed at 7 p.m. on May 31, 2023. Here are some options for city residents to dispose of their yard waste following the closing of the City's Compost Site. The East Central Solid Waste Commission serves residents of Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, and Pine counties. Yard Waste (leaves, grass clippings, plant matter) is accepted for free at all three sites listed below. The sites are open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. and Saturdays, 8-11:45 a.m. Cash or check only. Please call each facility directly for more specific questions. Hazardous Waste Disposal
If you live in the city of Braham, the nearest hazardous waste disposal facility is located in the North Branch Industrial Park, 39649 Grand Ave., North Branch, MN, 55056. All Isanti County residents need to fill out a voucher in order to utilize the North Branch facility. Hazardous waste generated by a business will not be accepted.
