Highway 65 Roadwork Begins July 7
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) will begin a major road improvement project on Highway 65 between Cambridge and north of Braham starting July 7.
What to Expect:
• Highway 65 will be closed to through traffic between Stanchfield and Cambridge
• Signed detours will be in place
• Reduced speeds, lane closures, flagging operations, and periodic delays throughout the construction season
• Local access will remain available for residents, businesses, and visitors within the work zone
Project Improvements Include:
Resurfacing 10 miles of Highway 65
Replacing pipes and culverts
Updating guardrails
Adding lighting at key intersections
New rumble strips and pavement markings
Storm sewer and sidewalk improvements in Grandy
Truck Traffic: A separate truck detour will be in place for semi-trucks, heavy loads, and longer hauling trailers.
Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling near work zones. We appreciate everyone's patience as these improvements are completed to make Highway 65 safer and smoother for years to come.
