Child Passenger Safety
The City of Braham Police Department offers child car seat inspections for Isanti, Pine, Chisago and Kanabec County residents. You will need to schedule an appointment to have your car seat checked. To schedule an appointment, fill out this form or call Randi Smith at (320) 496-8727.
What should I bring to the appointment?
Appointments can take up to 1 hour per seat. Children do not need to be present for the inspection, but it is helpful if they are present. When a child is present we are able to see how they fit in their car seat. We can also make sure the harness straps are adjusted correctly for the child.
You will need to have your car seat installed before you arrive for the inspection. The certified car seat technician will check your installation and make any necessary changes or recommendations. You will also need to have your vehicle owner's manual and your car seat manual with. If you are unable to locate either manual, you can go online and print off the manual. If you are printing the vehicle manual, you will only need the sections on car seats (usually referred to as child passenger safety) and airbags.
