Animal Licenses

All dogs, cats, and ferrets over the age of six months need to be licensed and registered with the city. The fee for the lifetime registration is $5 per pet.

To register and obtain a license for your pet, bring a copy of their current vaccination records* and application to:

*Applications, proof of vaccination, and payment must be submitted at City Hall offices.

Online Registration

After submitting the form, complete your registration by paying the $5 registration fee per animal at:

Once both your registration form and payment have been received, your animal's registration tag will be mailed to you within five (5) business days.

* No license shall be granted for a ferret, dog, or cat that has not been vaccinated against distemper (if available for ferrets) and rabies, as evidenced by a certificate by a veterinarian qualified to practice in the state in which the animal is vaccinated.

Animal Control

Was your animal picked up my Animal Control?

If your animal has been picked up by Animal Control, you will be required to provide proof that it is registered with the City of Braham before it can be released.

Acceptable proof of registration includes:

• Your pet wearing its current City of Braham registration tag.
• A copy of your online animal registration confirmation and proof of payment if the registration was recently completed.

If your animal is not currently registered, you may complete the online registration process and submit payment before reclaiming your pet, provided all other applicable fees and requirements have been met.

Animal registration helps us quickly identify pets and reunite them with their owners. We encourage all pet owners to keep their pet's City-issued registration tag securely attached to the animal's collar at all times.
