Animal Licenses

All dogs, cats, and ferrets over the age of six months need to be licensed and registered with the city. The fee for the lifetime registration is $5 per pet. 

To register and obtain a license for your pet, bring a copy of their current vaccination records* and application to:

Office hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday and 7:00 am to 1:00 pm on Fridays. Applications, proof of vaccination, and payment must be submitted at City Hall offices.

No animal license will be issued if all appropriate documents are not provided.

* No license shall be granted for a ferret, dog, or cat that has not been vaccinated against distemper (if available for ferrets) and rabies, as evidenced by a certificate by a veterinarian qualified to practice in the state in which the animal is vaccinated.
