The Mayor of the City of Braham has called a special meeting of the Braham City Council to consider a Phase 1 Infrastructure project change order due to petroleum products found in the soil and ground water at the intersection of Broadway Ave S and Central Drive West. The costs associated to mitigate the hazard was not foreseen or within the scope of the original project cost estimate. 

The City Council will also consider a cost share agreement with the Ditch Authority to replace an undersized culvert located by the City of Braham's wastewater plant on Ditch 2 extension. 

This meeting will also provide an opportunity for community members to ask questions directly of their elected officials, as well as City Administration. 

This year's meeting will also include an employee recognition segment. Where the City Council, and Administration will recognize the achievements of some of our top preforming city staff members. 

The city will also be awarding a Citizen of the Year award at this meeting. This award will be based on nominations from the community and/or City staff. Nomination forms will be located on the website as well as at city hall starting April 1st, 2025. Nomination Criteria, and submission information will be outlined on the nomination form.

Braham community invited Aug. 13 to attend Highway 107 public meeting

ST. CLOUD, Minn. –The community is invited to attend a public meeting hosted by the City of Braham on Wednesday, Aug. 13, to learn about plans to reconstruct and improve Highway 107 in Braham, Isanti County, reports the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The open house-style event will be held 6-7:30 p.m., at the Braham City Hall, 201 Broadway Ave. S. Guests can stop by, view a design layout and learn more about the project. MnDOT and city staff will be available to answer questions. Construction timing and traffic impacts will be discussed at a later date closer to construction.

MnDOT will reconstruct and improve Highway 107 from Highway 65 to Isanti County Road 4 (Sixth Street NW) in Braham, which includes new storm sewer, city water main and pedestrian updates. The project is currently in the design phase and is scheduled for construction in 2027 or 2028 (TBD next summer).
